Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Research Analyst to provide research, data analysis, and reporting support for a Calgary-based professional services team. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to deliver insights that support decision-making and enhance overall research capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support recurring and ad hoc research deliverables, including market summaries, reports, presentations, and written commentary.
  • Assist with the collection, validation, and analysis of periodic market and industry data.
  • Monitor market trends, industry activity, and relevant current events, incorporating findings into ongoing research initiatives.
  • Gather information from multiple sources and maintain accurate records within internal databases and research tools.
  • Analyze data and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations through concise summary documents and presentations.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with internal teams to support research and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize data management, analysis, and query tools to support research initiatives.
  • Support data quality, consistency, and documentation standards across research outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve research processes, efficiency, and overall quality of deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Undergraduate degree required; education in Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a research, analytics, or data-focused role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualization, reporting tools, or geographic data tools is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
